Cow Patty Bingo

What exactly is a cow patty bingo? It's a country-style fundraising event that combines guessing where a cow will answer nature's call with a cow pie with raising funds for the local chamber of commerce.

This event will take place during the annual Metcalfe County Agriculture Appreciation Event sponsored by South Central Bank.  It will be a huge party with food, music and fantastic door prizes. This year’s event will be held on Friday, June 10^th beginning about 6:30 pm with the Cow Patty Bingo being conducted around 7:30 pm. 

The Bingo will be held one of the ball fields at Edmonton Memorial Park which has a  flat grass field and plenty of parking. The field will be marked off  in equal size numbered plots.  Only five hundred plots will be offered for sale.

Each plot will be  sold for only $5.00. One can get a deluxe plot (6 for $25.00) or even a Super Size plot (25 for $100).  If one owns the plot of land that the cow uses for “nature’s call” , you will receive $500.00!  Now all  farm people know about cow’s and nature’s call!  It may cover more than one plot!  An official judge will determine the winning plot!

The fun part of it is that instead of doing a drawing to select the winner, the winning square is the one where the cow leaves it first cow pie.

Obviously, it isn't that exciting to just stand around and wait for the winner to drop, so there will be other fun activities going on. There will be music and food and children’s games.

Land leases for the Cow Patty Bingo are now on sale at the Chamber Office, Edmonton State Bank Main Office,  or from any member of the Chamber Board of Directors.
