Educator of the Year Award

One educator is recognized and awarded each year at the Annual Senior Celebrity banquet who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in the education of Metcalfe County students.  The recipient also meets the following criteria:

1. Must be a full-time educator employed by Metcalfe County School system;

2. Must posses the ability to inspire love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities;

3. Must have the ability and willingness to work cooperatively with fellow professionals;

4. Must have the ability to work effectively with a variety of public agencies in the community;

5. Must have the desire to keep abreast of current educational theories and practices;

6. Must have the ability and willingness to make contributions to the field of education; and

7. Must provide the encouragement and support necessary to ensure each student's maximum level of achievement as a student, family member, and member of society.
